Now I know why I keep seeing stars. This cartoon tells the truth!

Ya know, I was discussing this with my wife yesterday. I had my left knee replaced 2 years ago and major back surgery last year and I really, at 75, don't have any aches or pains to speak of. After getting up, for about 5 minutes or so, everything has to fall into place. But after that I'm good to go. I really don't feel 75. In my head, more like 35.

Right now, I have two stars - a temporary one on my back and what's probably a permanent one on my right shoulder. Bursitis?

I like your last two sentences. For years, I thought of myself as being 37. My birth certificate says I'm 79, and I'm starting to believe it.

At 70 I often said that I didn't know what old felt like. But at 77 I'm beginning to know.

I don't like to admit that I'm physically limited. I'm still able to do what I've always done, but I just don't want to. 🤣

What does concern me is seeing notices about people who have died. They are mostly in their upper seventies.

At 95, I am recalling a quip attributed to a former neighbor: "Everything that doesn't hurt, doesn't work"

That's a pretty dim outlook.

Or as my (75 year old) sister responded when asked about her physical condition, "Well, I just never knew so many things could hurt."

Tylenol keeps me going, and life is good.

Yep, reading this I feel about the same. I had shoulder surgery nine years ago, double bypass seven years ago, back surgery just over three years ago. I am 76 and do have the occasional ache or pain but they are nothing compared to what I've experienced in the past. Also I own and frequently ride a motorcycle that weighs around 900 pounds. I don't feel 35, maybe 50, but that's still pretty darned good.

Why so many surgeries at such a young age?

Nothing helps my shoulder pain, so I've stopped taking pills.
