We missed getting into the Basilica of Santa Croce by a few minutes and it was raining at that time as well. We didn't have time to go inside on our visit in June 2022 either. Hopefully we'll make it inside the next time we're in Florence.
Thanks very much Dennis. We had a private tour of the Santa Croce Basilica which I will post soon. The crowds were oppressive around the Uffizi and Ponte Vecchio which I'll also post soon.

A little fill-in flash would work well on the pictures of your wife. Also, good idea about giving the narrative in separate link.

The nooks and crannies of these places should be explored more by visitors. You guys obviously get that. Nice photos.

Great walking tour set, Mark. You really captured the spirit of Florence as I remember it from my visits. Loved seeing Gail’s beautiful smile in the Piazza.
