Hummingbirds this season are not as plentiful as last summer. They feed and leave, rarely hanging out on branches to rest. Photos 1, 2, and 3 are this years. Photo 4, 5, and 6 are from last summer.
I find it distracting when feeders are included in photos but due to circumstances beyond my control, you take what you can get...especially with wildlife.
Hummingbird facts: Photos 5 and 6: They have a tongue that can extend the length of their bill. They have a 3rd eyelid (the nictating membrane).
