I could live without that. That beats the Pomona, CA high I one day experienced by one degree! It will never be that hot where I live now.

We had 120 a couple of weeks back. Kept being the highest in the country for a while.

Where I live in Palm Springs, CA we are accustomed to well over 100 degrees temperature May through October every year. It is a dry heat with little if any humidity. One learns how to live with it. I take full advantage of using the mornings well . . . as that is the nicest time of day when it gets that hot . . . and of course we "never" go out for that walk around the block in mid afternoon. And air conditioned cars help a lot too.

I have been there a number of times but not during the Summer.

We have been really lucky with the weather. I think 86° is the highest for the past two months. We've had heavy rain, thunder, and lightning every day for at least a month, though. Lots of flooding.
