Ya don't really need a heat index with that value!

What temperature do they quit using heat index and what temperature do they quit using wind chill? Inquiring minds want to know.

When in Lake Havasu, just go to Phoenix to cool off.

They don't quit using it. There's an algorithm for calculating the heat index based on the relative humidity.
If the humidity is low enough, the multiplier to get the heat index is 1, heat index=ambient temp.
As the humidity increases, so does the multiplier.
I have no idea below what humidity level cut-off is, or how it changes for chill factor, which is based on wind speed. (Maybe humidity also???)

Winter is just around the corner in Plano. TX, the temp here was only 103 today. Better get my winter clothes ready.

WOW!!

Having grown up in El Paso, Texas I know it's a much drier heat that what I'm living with in NC but that doesn't mean it's not very uncomfortable for you. I hope it breaks soon and you get to some decent temps!!

Hoping cool breezes and lower temps for you soon.

Not that much cooler here in the Phoenix area. At 7:30pm it's 110 on my back patio here in beautiful downtown Mesa.

I'm glad I escaped Havasu to come to Casa Grande for awhile.

I think I saw 12 more days over 110 in the long range forecast for Phoenix. They are on day 16 right now.

It's also based on humidity.

My S-I-L in Phoenix, where it's been above 110 for 16 straight days says the heat feels like it's going to take your face off.

We drove through AZ last June and it was 107-108. That was hot enough. You didn't want to take long to tank up.
