Hasn't happened in Michigan, nor in any other state. The misconception was that pot sells itself. It does not. Most pot shops go under quickly b/c the owners overlooked basic rules of business. They knew all about growing pot, their product. They knew nothing about setting up distribution centers, marketing techniques, or shipping channels, or advertising, the needed items for a successful business enterprise. They knew nothing that prepared them for what they tried to do. That is the perfect model for failure. Your $ stores and gas stations were opened by organizations that had established businesses, and they succeeded. Your comparison is biased.
