I ate some rattler once.
When my mother finished cooking it she threw the skillet as far out into the grove behind the house as she could.
Actually, it was a good taste but I could never get my mind off of what it was.
Guess I'll pass next time.

They probably do in their native environment but this was the longest caught in Florida, to date.
