Not too much to say. Great Blue Heron caught a big trout, stabbed it a couple of times, took it to the bank and swallowed it whole!

Great sequence. They'll try to swallow almost anything no matter how large. They usually get it down.

Great images, it is amazing what these guys can swallow, I have seen then spear large frogs, that beak is quite the weapon.

We have had to rescue geese and ducks that were caught up in fishing line - not an easy task! So far this has not been required for GBHs but it will be a dangerous task if ever necessary.
