Yesterday the FDA approved a birth control bill that will be available to women without a prescription.
Hiw long will it take for Iowa to make them illegal?

Just when did the FDA begin writing or approving bills, your OP is a bit confusing.

That particular drug can be dangerous without proper followup and the supervision of a doctor but as it has become a political issue I imagine that progressives such as yourself could care less if women die an excruciating death as long as your political goals are met.

Just like you don't care about women who need care. Have you not heard of women being denied treatment because doctors are afraid of the new laws. Or, do you have interest in a coat hanger plant?

You assume much Thom, WTF makes you think that I don't care about women who need care? AH!

I have been somewhat disappointed in the Republican response at the state level to the Dobbs decision in many of the Red states, I felt that coming into alignment with the majority of EU countries would have been the proper response.

Not as funny as a Republican trying to take the moral high-ground.
Now that's hilarious.

You have no morals Frank, just the fact that you have no problem with late term a******n speaks to that fact.

That's bullss**t. The fact that you don't believe women should control their own bodies tells me you're a sexist and a f*****t.

Why do you lie and use deceptive words and terms? A woman has every right to do wh**ever she wants with her body. The unborn baby is not her body it’s the babies body. IF the unborn child really is “her body” than why did they both have different sets of DNA?

You will also find generous, child friendly, government support in the EU. The child friendly support is the 'No-No' part in the US. Unwanted US births are up by over 10% since the govt a******n crackdown. That's mostly poor people trying to feed more kids.

See how generous they can be in the EU when they don't have to worry about their own defense? It's good that you are an Expat, you are right where you are supposed to be.

They say Aussie is the *'lucky country' I'm here to tell you it looks more and more lucky by the day!

Read this small excerpt from a lenghty piece then reconsider your glib answer.

'Don’t Forget the Other Half of Europe’s A******n Compromise'

https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2023/06/a******n-ban-first-trimester-12-weeks-north-carolina/674297/

Yes, many countries in Europe restrict a******n far more than America did under Roe. But they also do a lot more to support women and children, once those children are out of the womb.

" ... But Republicans are interested in only one part of the European approach to protecting life—the a******n restrictions. They seem to forget that every European country that protects unborn life by restricting a******n after the first trimester protects born life too, through prenatal health care, paid maternity leave, and a public infrastructure for child care and preschool. If Republicans are sincere in invoking Europe as a model, Democrats and other proponents of a******n access should seize this chance to find common ground on policies that would substantially improve the lives of mothers and children in this country. After Dobbs, Democrats should not let the outrage over losing Roe impede a new a******n compromise, one inspired by European countries that protect life not just by restricting a******n, but by ensuring healthy pregnancy and infancy.

Pro-life Republicans have long liked to criticize the United States as an outlier for legalizing pre-viability a******n without significant restriction under Roe v. Wade. But the country is an outlier in another sense as well: its abject failure to protect born, living children and the people who birth them. By comparison to similarly wealthy advanced democracies, the United States has higher rates of infant mortality. Maternal mortality rates are substantially higher in the United States as compared with these countries, especially for Black mothers. Studies have linked paid maternity leave to lower rates of infant mortality, but the United States is the only country in the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development that doesn’t guarantee it. Senate Democrats recently introduced a paid-family-leave bill for the sixth time in 10 years. Thirty years after Congress guaranteed unpaid parental leave in the Family and Medical Leave Act, in 1993, the overwhelming majority of working mothers in America lack access to paid leave to cover the time off work necessary to give birth and care for a newborn. After a decade of legislative dysfunction, Congress finally passed the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act in December 2022, which guarantees reasonable accommodations to protect the health of pregnant workers and their wanted unborn children. Staying pregnant exacerbates women’s economic insecurity, a primary reason they seek a******ns. ... "
