Ok, I succumbed to the temptation. My first RF lens is arriving tomorrow. According to Ken Rockwell it should make me smile.

Likewise, but at the opposite extreme. I use the EF to RF adapter and really had zeeeerrroh interest in acquiring any RF lenses. Then I stumbled into the 16/2.8 at its give-away price. Schidt happinz !

Yeah now I don't have to use the adapter for my EF lenses. I then realized the new one has IS and my old EF 70-200 f4L and 400 f5.6L doesn't which might help. I can still use the old ones on my 5Ds. I'll probably sell my 7D mkII.

I have 3 RF lenses so far but that 16 f2.8 is calling my name. For the price I don’t think you can beat it.

Congratulations, yes that lens is rated very highly for quality of images, and would be hard to beat at any price.

Here’s the Aug. 1 full moon I took with the RF 100-400 on my EOS R. Reduced to 8 MP because of cropping.
