From a few weeks ago in a very crowded N.P.

Speaking of crowded, we had our son, daughter and her husband hear for over a week over the 4th. They just returned to southern California and what a relief to get our house and quiet space back. We love them but darn, at 82 it starting to seem like an invasion. They would stay up til 2-3 am playing video games and raiding the frig! My daughter Shanghaied this computer to do some remote work all week and in the process updated me to Windows 11. Spent yesterday getting my preferences established and finding files. The new "Start" button was perplexing and I tried in vain to return to the old Start button. Oh well, I'm plugging along getting familiar with the new system. Actually, not too bad...have gotten most of my favorite Icon tabs on the bottom task bar so am making progress.

Sorry for the catharsis and please let me know of any of your favorite tips for Windows 11.

I like your picture as well. Windows 11 is fine once you get used to it.
Here are easy to follow directions on how to modify the Windows 11 start menu:

I had not planned on updating to Windows 11 as I was happy with 10. My daughter accidently (?) hit the update button when it flashed on the screen and the rest is history!!
