Ok, forget all the negatives you've heard; Photoshop Beta Generative Fill is nothing short of amazing. If you are a SOCC type, read no further, go to the next post. But, if you, like me, appreciate the intricacies of post processing, Generative Fill will blow you away.
The base image is of the Walter Pyramid at Cal State University Long Beach (Go Beach!) the largest space frame building in North America. Extremely photogenic, and on this clear day, the blue of the building literally merges with the blue of the cloudless sky.
But a lot is possible with a little imagination and Generative Fill.
The first image, I added a whip cream and cherry topping. Notice how the AI algorithm added a sun reflection on the cherry facing the axis of sunlight. The second was a simple sky replacement and the addition of a lake.
Even if you are not into extreme effects, G.F. is incredible at deleting objects that I used to use the healing brush for.
Fun set. IMO Generative Fill is still a work in progress and will always be limited unless and until Adobe (a) improves the the Firefly engine and (b) change the self limited data base that only uses Adobe stock images to educate the AI

You're probably right but I think they're still trying to figure out the copyright laws in this new field. There's probably going to be some interesting court cases coming up.
