Just like you do not need a big screen TV or a camera, or beer, God does not need anything you attribute to Him. But like you wanting your things, God does want those things, obedience, worship, etc. I do not know what has made you calused and sceptical but I will pray for your recovery. Sorry - misread your earlier text as sarcasm. Misogyny means, literally, woman-hating, but can generally be used to describe anti-woman attitudes and beliefs. Now I have no problem with humour, but I seem to come across a strong seam of anti-women, anti-wife humour on these forums which, frankly, aren't very funny. And more of them seem to come from Americans (and I'm guessing right-wing Americans) than anyone else. My original post was intended to be humorous too, which just goes to show that one person's humour might be another's offensive remark.
