Fuji FW upgrades

Fuji users, be sure to check for new FW upgrades - there were new FW upgrades for X series cameras (including the X-T3, X-T4, X-T5 and X-T30) just released on 7/4. Also a batch of lens FW upgrades a couple of months ago, so if you haven’t checked recently, here’s the link: https://fujifilm-x.com/en-us/support/download/firmware/lenses/

Q: My XT3 is still on v. 4.51.
Can I just d/l and install the latest v. 5.01 or do I have to do it incrementally, i.e. 4.52 –> 5.0 –> 5.1 or will it fubar my camera?

You can go directly to the latest rev. You can either download the update and copy it onto an SD card and then run it, or you can do it remotely via WiFi using the Fujifilm Cam remote Ap. Be sure to read the directions on the download site, make sure the battery is fully charged, and don’t turn off the camera or open the battery door while updating.
