Here are couple of scenes captured while traveling the BRP last autumn. Both are popular locations and have been photographed thousands of times. The serenity of Price Lake is a real draw for me each time we travel the BRP. This time there was not a lot of blue sky and clouds but it was still a nice photo opportunity. Last autumn was my first time ever visiting Mabry Mill in the Virginia portion of the BRP. What struck me when I first saw it was how small it is. At least it seemed much smaller to my eye than what all the past photographs I have viewed made it look.

If you get back by Price lake, there's a great hike that goes around the perimeter. At a leisurely pace, it will take a little over an hour to complete. I like the shot of Mabry Mill.

Nice shots. Who's the model? The Mill shot is quite different from the usual ones I see with the rhoadie bush in bloom. The autumn colors are a nice change.

I will certainly take that hike one day, when I get my knee fixed! Thanks, Tom.

The “ model” was another lake viewer - a stranger to me - but one among several around the lake that day.

Thank you Karin. A visit during the early part of the week might mean fewer sightseers around.
