For those special friends...

Poking around where i should not be, I found a pet cemetery behind a very small church on a hill.
I've lost friends, two legged or more. Visiting their final place is never a catharsis.
Often, I longed even more for their missing companionship.
To friends who left but never gone
I wait and watch the setting sun
In hope someday if heaven won
We'll play once more, forever fun
I'll never say farewell or bye
for sure it only makes me cry
but keep remembering how we fly
I won't forget though hard I try
Your happy soul and joy full face
Still makes me smile as I embrace
The time we shared in this life's race
still helps me through thru rainy days
Rest my friend, eternally peace'd
No tears will flow but you are missed
