Those beautiful sunsets.
Sunsets and sunrises are among the most photographed subjects and a favorite of the majority of us.
Why are we so fascinated with sunsets? This needs no explanation, our eyes are attracted toward warm colors faster than they are attracted to cold colors.
We tend to enjoy, while watching a sunset, those beautiful yellows and reds that are present in most of them.
I have a collection of sunsets that I have shot over the years and these I am posting here today I would say are recent ones, perhaps the oldest is about 4 years old.
I prefer to stay on site another half an hour AFTER the sun sets. Not uncommonly, on the opposite direction of the sunset the sky usually fills with beautiful colors that many times attract me more than the colors I saw at sunset.
I use Nikon cameras and lenses but since around 2005 I have been using Olympus cameras with Olympus and Panasonic lenses. These images were made using Olympus cameras except for the last one that I made using film with my Nikon F-1000.
The ship with the rising moon was shot here in Biscayne Bay, Miami, near the port a pleasant winter evening while the other two that follow were shot in the Florida Keys, both of them in Key Largo.
If you ask locals for sunsets to photograph in the Keys you are going to be directed to Key West but I tell you I have traveled across all the Florida Keys and there are many places more attractive and colorful for sunsets than Key West.
Key Largo is my favorite during our winter months because the colors tend to be a beautiful combination of reds and yellows. During the summer yellows predominate except after a storm.
The last image is from Crandon Park Marina, Key Biscayne, shot as I said with film using my Nikon F-100.
I hope you enjoy watching the beautiful colors.

Excellent sunset shots! Love those compositions!
Very nice set of images. I do love those warm colors, for sure.
Thank you for stopping by to look at the sunsets. I want to be corrected, the Nikon camera I use with film to shoot the last image was incorrectly called the F-1000 but it is the F-100.
Sorry for the mistake.
