A new pizza recipe.
After I kneeded the dough, I wanted a different taste to the usual pizza. I looked into the refrigerator to find a piece of chicken from last night and some bacon from yesterday morning’s breakfast. I nicely chopped up them into small pieces. I finely chopped up a tomato and added mozzarella into the bowl. I cut some fresh basil off and added a teaspoonful of olive oil. I sprinkled the mix on top of the dough and popped it into the oven for about 8 minutes. Once out of the oven, I drizzled some leftover chipotle sauce. I brewed up of black expresso coffee. It was a delicious lunch. And no, I didn’t eat all six slices. I saved some for my wife.

Sounds good! See there? You're not as bad as you told us you were.

All was good until the chipotle. I would also try ranch dressing, BBQ sauce or balsamic glaze on that combination. Yum!

Other things I have put on pizza in the past (with varying results).
Hash brown potatoes
Green beans
Leftover stir fry
Corn
Blue cheese
Asparagus
(Not all at the same time).
I’m glad you clarified that. I don’t think it would taste great with all that stuff on it.
The occasional homemade pizza is always a treat. A Canadian bacon with pineapple is one of our favorites as well as our homemade sausage pizza using fennel pollen or anise in the sausage for a bit of a licorice flavor. I learned about that when I was in Naples Italy eons ago. Goes great with a homemade bleu cheese salad dressing on red leaf lettuce.

You took that word right out of my mouth.
Scruples, you're living the "high life", but I guess you already knew that.

Thanks. I don’t live the high life. Actually I just was too tired to walk to the pizzeria or even call.
My wife was working late and I worked an hour overtime so I was exhausted.
I thought I would share the recipe idea because these days it was too warm to do much.
Thanks for the compliment but my really old scoutmaster brain kicked in. The damn thing starts up when the rest of me is kaput!
