This is the last of three posts. It will mean more to you if you start at "The Tuaregs of Timbuktu 1" and move along in order before looking at this one.

For some reason this woman always reminded me of a kind of Tuareg version of Jackie Kennedy.


This woman didn't.






Notice how much more "African" the woman in red looks. Most Tuaregs appear to be Arab, but quite a few seem to have more African blood. But what do I know?


Here she is.




This drummer at whatever the occasion they celebrating was did not want me to phtograph her face, but she was fine with this.


And finally, there stands Moses, in his Tuareg blue outfit, surveying his domain. I always wondered how this particular group fared during and after Timbuktu's subsequent invasion. (BTW, the photo is not slanted. This is the way it was.)
