Three years my wife bought her first DSLR, a Canon 5D MK4. I bought her Lightroom 5 and the Canon 24-105 f4. Last year I bought her the Canon 70-200 2.8 and the Canon 400 F4 DO. She knew almost nothing about photography. I taught her what I know and she has taken it from there. At first she would ask so many questions about settings, etc. Now not so much.
Here are two pictures she took at the Saint Louis Aquarium at Union Station last week, using 24-105 f4 lens. I think they are amazing, I guess because I don't think about photographing fish from these angles. I do profiles of sharks, and the bottom side of Stingrays. She has taught me a lesson about composition here.

Your wife's photos are very nice!! You taught her well and she has done a great job putting your teachings into practice.
I like her shark better but your stingray better so you tie; one each! You should convince her to join UHH and post her photos.

I like Lynn's photographs as well.
My wife surprises me too at times with photography. She does not really like doing it much and is not technical about it. But sometimes she uses my cameras with my prodding and gets results I like better than my own. She has an inherent knack for artistic aesthetics. So I in essence learn from her too.
I think the first borderlines on stunning
