Captain Teague is a character from Pirates of the Caribbean. Took this shot at a local pirate parade (and regulars here may be tiring of my pirate images!) and, of course, it's a composite. The 'tender' is a shot from somewhere near Robin Hood's Bay in Yorkshire. It's a (rod) fishing boat and was pushing out from the beach. I've removed the anglers and replaced them with two pirates. The tall ship is a Russian-built Galleon, real name Shtandart and was at a 2016 pirate event. Beach, sea and sky are local shots. Your critique is always welcome.

Capt Teague is dressed to impress! Love your ship and sky.

The water line on the right side has sort of a wave that ends abruptly by our star's hand; doesn't seem to fit with the left side. The scale seems off, with the Captain quite large relative to how close the little boat seems to be.

Marvelous creativity and technical execution overall - as we've come to expect

The first thing I thought when I looked at the picture was the scale is off. Captain Teague is too large and dominates the scene but perhaps that was your intent. Then I thought "is he even necessary"?

He’s managed a pretty good interpretation of the POTC costume for sure Linda. Hate to think what it must have cost him!
The water line is lighter as it disappears behind him - and the smal boat has disturbed it of course.😊
Scale is a difficult one for this type of composite - I’m putting it down to artists licence - how do you feel about that?🤭

Well it set out to be a portrait of him Jack, which might be difficult to achieve without him - but I did think the background was a nice pic on its own. See my reply to Linda re the scale thing - I’ll use any excuse available!

I feel good!

Whoa! I feel good, I knew that I would, now
I feel good, I knew that I would, now
So good, so good

Now then Linda, about that stuff you’ve been drinkin’ in the afternoons…..!

At first glance I thought. He came, he saw, he conquered, he smiled. I like the sky reflection in the water. The fellow seemed very at ease in that get up. As has been pointed out perhaps a bit too big. I blame that on Linda and Jack for pointing that out.🥴
Another well presented composite.

Thanks Frank. All these pirate people are having way too much fun, they’re always smiling! I blame everything on Linda, she takes it so well!!😊

I felt your handsome pirate looks a bit too “pasted on” perhaps due to size as has been mentioned, or possibly sharpness. Then again, poetic license is fine, and therefore your artistic license (sorry, licence) is also fine.
You do a great job with this compositing stuff!

I can certainly be guilty of making them too sharp Ellen - but scale is a matter of perception 😉 Thanks for commenting.

It is a very interesting concept, but I think you've a problem with one of the guys down by the Troubadour. Without magnification, he looks to me like he's wearing a business suit; magnified sufficiently, he looks translucent! Was that intended?
