Challenge: “Things that Explode with Color - Besides Fireworks” July 3-8

Since Sunday this week is a travel day for me, I am posting this early to make sure it is done on time. Please do your best to patronize the Sunday July 2 feature first before posting anything here!
This weekend is a great one for witnessing and taking pictures of every kind of fireworks imaginable in celebration of Independence Day! It’s something that just about everyone enjoys, from the youngest to the oldest.
Your challenge this week is to post things that explode with color - but not fireworks. Let’s celebrate our Fourth a little differently in the next six days by highlighting shots that colorfully grab our attention without the use of gunpowder and matches as catalysts.

Great idea for a challenge - I'm a bit tired of hearing high explosives! The title of this challenge immediately brought to mind Dale Chihuly. I have had the opportunity to view and photograph some of his work at several of his exhibitions. That fact that these image may resemble fireworks may, or may not, be coincidental!

My UHH habit is to comment on challenges, then go to birds, then if I need any more to do my 50 comments for the day, I check the latest posts. Seeing the absolute magnificence you have posted here reminded me of the unrivaled enjoyment I got from all your beauties in the past!
