They love the black oil sun flower seeds I put out for them. I also do most of the other tips listed.

I guess here in the Land of Lincoln where the state bird is the cardinal, they did not read that article. I have tried all seven tips and they did not get the message. I see a cardinal once or twice a year and that is about it. However, the sparrows and finches are abundant. Once in a while, something else will come around and chow down a meal.

I have several families staying on the property...have become quite tame...will buzz me if any of the feeders are empty.
If they see me by a window...they call out continuously until I step outside...or hide.
