Too bad. They can strip a tree very quickly. Two to three years of defoliation will kill it!

Boil some water in a pot and after it boils, turn it off and let the bubbles stop. Place a few of the cats in the scalding water to dispatch them and more importantly, to kill the bacteria in their gut otherwise, they turn black. Store them in alcohol to preserve them and you will have a specimen to stage on twig for those cold winter days.

this is east texas,i never run out of bugs
