It’s already a great country. I just heard a college professor today cite a survey from the 90’s (he called it the Byrd/Johnson era, no not Lady Bird Johnson) where 65% of w****s and 60% of b****s thought race relations in the U.S. were good. Now both groups are down to around 33%. Seems to me this steady decline has occurred throughout the Obama/Trump/Biden eras despite most metrics that should define relationships and quality of life improving. Not trying to start a chicken or egg argument but seems to me we have radical noise on the left who through radicals, politicians, news media, social media has created an aggrieved, victim class and extremist right wing radicals, cable news pundits and politicians have reacted with nationalist ideas yearning for yesteryear. To further foment this class warfare politicians have no problem fanning the flames if it will allow them to hold the reins of power exacerbated by people left and right painting everyone with the same brush, “they’re all MAGA or they’re all socialists.” While the t***h be told most live center right or center left with the same aspirations and desires for themselves and their families.
