a male Tule Bluet (Enallagma carunculatum)
two Female Western pond hawks (Erythemis collocata)
Two Blue dashers (Pachydiplax longipennis
And ending with a young male eight spotted skimmer
An absolutely beautiful set
Dragon wings are truly fascinating, if one were to do a structural engineering analysis, they would probably rank high in perfection with minimal material. Muddyvalley, you have demonstrated this well.
Terrific set! I've seen them all, but didn't know specific names. I just called them all dragonflies! Thanks for sharing!

Well done Vic! A first rate set with perfect detail of these beautiful creatures. Great bokeh in each shot. Nothing in the background to distract from your subject.

Thanks for posting and IDing. My wife and I love watching
them flit about our pond. One landed on her arm once, but
zoomed away when I slowly moved for my camera.

Those are excellent. Nice composed and processed.
Well done.
You have managed to capture them quite well.
More excellent work, Vic!
