Today's Project: Fold-Down Workbench

I had been using boards on a sawhorse to do the sanding & cutting of boards to keep most of the dust out of my workshop. Problem is that there is a big tree opposite the work area & I often need to use this to drive through there. The sawhorses just stuck out way too far.

Solution: attach the bench with hinges to the outside wall & make the bench fold down. Support is two pieces of heavy-duty plastic pipe, kept in place by small castor wheels attached under the bench & to the small "feet".

All the pink color is from the sun shining through the Canadian smoke & then filtering through the trees.

Purchased self locking hinges from Home Depot that are rated at 500 lbs each. They require no additional support and are always level

What. You want him to rebuild it?
What he has works, for him.
