I think you are referring to Don Schaeffer. His last posts were in September of last year. In a reply to a comment he said he had suffered a stroke and was recovering sliwly.

Thanks I had wondered about Don as well. Some of his posts were a bit esoteric, if you will, but he definitely has a creative bent. I believe that you could click on a link by his name and see more of his work. I also entered Don Schaeffer Winnepeg Canada and found him on Linknd. He is Don Schaeffer Phd from City University of New York a retired social psychologist, poet, artist and microscopist.
