A few years back, much to my delight, I stumbled onto this colorful cabin. Took many photos of this photographic gem and shared a post here on the Hog. A few weeks back, we were in the area and I revisited the cabin. The evening light was not particularly good, mainly an overcast grey sky. Still, the cabin is a charmer with the colorful sandstone construction surrounded by cottonwood trees!! BYW, underneath all the timber piled on the floor is a basement trapdoor...couldn't get the wife to go in!!

Neat! And well constructed, bet that took a while to get all the materials together, and assemble.

That's a really neat find. Probably the "basement" was protection against Indians?

That is a neat little cabin! I would not go down there either as it probably was not a wine cellar.
