Spent several days in the Gunnison, Crested Butte area and just now going through the images. The first one is a shot I have tried to get many times. Difficult, the light never seems to be right. My best effort - this is the East river flowing out of the mountains.

The lupines are in bloom not far away.

Nice shots. I love driving into Crested Butte in the fall when the mountainsides look like they’re on fire covered with golden aspens. The drive over Kebler Pass that time of year is also gorgeous!

Love Colorado.
One year we did 5 passes in one day. Not for the faint of heart.

I like the first one. In the second is that a solidly purple mountain behind the main scene or do you have purple skies around there. Thus, you might have shot that one vertically to include a bit of blue and cloudy sky or used a wider lens. It looks surreal in a kind of good way as it is but not natural to me even if it is. Lacks grounding without sky.

Yes, It's particularly beautiful in the fall. Kebler just opened last Friday - was closed due to rock slide. Happening in many places because of all the rain we have been having.

Thanks, not easy to get this shot. Often the sun is reflecting off the water.

Love the effect of the meandering river with many oxbows in the first photo.
