FYI signed up to host two July challenges. A shame to let this outlet die. I've hesitated because no matter what I post in a challenge, I've gotten two, maybe three, comments. But that's no reason to let many others be deprived of the fun!
I know this is not a great photograph (hand-held at 600mm) but it is nice to see a young person with a real camera.
I had to circle back to take another look at your image. Your photo is much better than you may think. I love the background and subject. If it were my image, I would define the subject a little differently. Great job. Gary K
The difference between today and a couple years ago. We have been under severe drought and the reservoirs were very low. Thanks to heavy snow pack and runoff our lakes are full. The picnic areas in the first picture sit normally about 12 feet above the water on a cliff. Now if you want to picnic you need scuba gear. The second picture was taken in about the same spot as the first but looking a different direction two years ago.
