Saw a pair of young cowbirds hopping around, looking for bugs in the lawn, just like their Chipping Sparrow "mom" nearby. The previous day, my wife spotted a young cowbird mimicking his robin "mom" looking for worms.

They are too uniform in color and if you look closely they still retain some downy feathers. The first juvenal picture shows typical feed me behavior of young birds.
