Nikon D850, D750 Noisey Shutter

Both of these cameras have a noisey shutter. It is so loud it scares the wildlife away. The D750 was sent to Nikon repair but they said the shutter noise was within limits.
Has anyone else had noisey shutters on these cameras?
I do own a D810 and that shutter is as quiet as a church mouse.
Does anyone tech savy know if the shutters are different on the D750, D810 and D850?
Thank you for your comments.

Well upgrade to the Z9 or Z8. They can go completely quiet. Personally I love the shutter/miror slap sounds.

Have you tried the "silent mode"?

I can't speak for the D750, but can address the D810 and D850. The D850 has a "new" shutter that is capable of higher speeds and other performance improvements over the D810. The difference requires that the shutter's parts must move much faster in operation, which creates more noise. My D810 has the quietest shutter of any of my cameras. I'm not sure of the details surrounding that. But it is why I am keeping my D810 for those cases when I may need to take pictures in church or in some other situation where noise could be a problem.

Every time I use my D850 it reminds me of how quiet my D500 is by comparison. My D850 sounds like I'm kicking a trash can down the road. The D500 is a very quiet, almost comforting click, click. I actually like the sound!

Thanks for the suggestion. I am well invested in the D750, D810 and D850. Also have a D70s.

Very interesting! It is virtually noiseless and no that has not been tried before. Thanks for the suggestion. Trying it out now.

You want a quiet shutter, you want mirrorless. I don't have these Nikon models, but for Canon, if they have a silent (more like quiet) shutter option, it comes only at a reduced frames per second. Look at your manual and setting options and see if you can get quieter with a lower frame rate. Or, dump these DSLRosaurs and join the silent swans of mirrorless.

If you get the Nikon Z9 or Z8 you have totally silent shutter with no reduction of frames per second. You want shutter sound on these cameras? It would come from a little speaker.

Kinda like the young hotrods these days. There are sound makers that can be installed on electric cars. Personally, I won't have an electric car. But I think one of the major advantages, if I did, would be the "Silent Running" feature!

Newer EVs make a "Sci Fi" noise at very slow speeds, or in reverse. I think its a pedestrian warning.

Now imagine the whole FDR Drive full of only EVs in the daily morning traffic jam. Thousands of EVs barely creeping along and all of them making the Sci Fi noise !

Yep! Or the "vroom-vroom" sound that the street racer wannabee kids like!

The main reason I traded my 850 for Z9
Very quiet or silent for wildlife
