A few people asked about the road conditions to the Temples the Cathedral Valley. These photos don't show the real rough spots or the many washes, some steep, you traverse. Some stretches and washes are muddy or very rocky so slow speeds and high clearance all wheel drive vehicles are recommended. Also, its prudent to check at the Capitol Reef Visitor Center on the current road conditions. You should avoid this area if there has been recent heavy
rains.
There is a very informative small guide book that references, by mileage, interesting sights on this loop road that can be purchased at the Visitor Center.
This trip began at the eastern entrance to Cathedral Valley near Cainville, Utah...which is the easier section of the loop road. Have to say, it is my favorite place to visit while in the Capitol Reef area.
Do you see any wildlife out there?
Excellent tour of the lesser traveled areas, Jim! You could be a Subaru commercial.
Desolate country nicely shot

Many times Mr. Bob. My other favorite drive there is the Notom Road to Burr Trail to Boulder and back to Torrey. Long Cyn. is a gorgeous drive!!
