I'm surprised that you don't know what it is:

It's a Viet Nam Memorial on wheels.

Hard to believe only one trailer is needed to haul it. The faces on those bikes were buddies of those inscribed on the panels. Sad to realize we haven't learned our lesson yet. Thanks for the link.

There was no way for me to know. In the past, it was called The Traveling Wall. I've seen it several times. I was always able to find a classmate's name on it - unfortunately.

Maybe there are two of these.

Why are you surprised? I too have never heard of it. My first impression on seeing the title was something to do with faith "healing."

Sorry, it is called that and has been for many years, it has also been published in the news media quite heavily such as Foxnews. I didn't mean for the title to become a debate.. it is also called Traveling Replica of Vietnam Veterans Memorial.. remember it's about the photos, not the title.

It does, for millions of US Vetenam Veterans.

My post title was as it is in the news media.

Thanks for the photo and info. Bummer that it doesn't come through Arizona in 2023.

Information on the original "Moving Wall" can be found at www.themovingwall.org

The Wall That Heals came along after The Moving Wall.

Youtube has a number of videos relating to both.

KRL, Vietnam 69-70, 1st Infantry Division

PS - Nice picture, Jon.

One of the traveling exhibits, I'm not sure if there are more than one, was erected here a few years back, ten or more. In a cemetery, fittingly. My wife and I visited it, at her urging. I found it disconcerting more than healing. I found the name of a high school friend and the names of a couple of friends left behind when I was evacuated due to a rather severe wound. I have to confess that I never thought of my two platoon mates after leaving nor my classmate after graduation, but I would much rather not have known that they had died in this useless war. We were young men and so many futures were cut short for nothing.

Actually, maybe we were successful. No NVA or VC ever succeeded in invading the west coast of the US, except maybe some who immigrated here after the war..
