For Fathers Day I went to the local camera store to check out the Z8, they had one in stock. I had two reasons for checking out the Z8....IBIS and its video capability. At present I shoot both a D780 and D850; the Z8 is supposed to have superior video capability especially over my D850. I am a landscape and seascape shooter; I want to expand my capability and do more video work when I go on a Nikon holiday especially when I head to the Oregon and Washington coasts. Nothing wrong with the D850 and shooting stills. I could have treated myself for Fathers Day had it not been for the $3995 price tag! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr................

You are correct that the D850 is unusable for video.
Strictly a stills limited camera.

Hate to tell you... the Z8 does have superior video capability over the D850 so does the Z9. I own both the D850 and Z9.

Hate to tell me what? I already understand the video capability of the Zed 8 is better than the D850, why I went to check it out on Fathers Day and inquire about financing.

For those who don’t know, there is a way to edit a title but you must do it quickly, as the option expires after a short time.
