This style could become habitual - it does seem popular with the subjects, who have mostly been re-enactors (so maybe easily pleased as they rather like a pic of themselves!), and is relatively quick to achieve. Your critique is appreciated.

Very cool. I am noticing the small shadows around the feet. That seems to me to be a very important detail. Tomorrow I'm going to be shooting a Revolutionary War Re-enactment. Those guys love to have their photos taken and should give me some material to start trying my hand at compositing. Your work and the other excellent composite artist on this section have convinced me to get out of my own comfort zone and try something new. Thanks.

The shadows are always the important bit, that’s for sure Erich. Here, I retained the original shadows, it was the easiest way of getting it right. I’m both surprised and interested to see your enthusiasm for composites, I’ve always thought of you as a ‘proper photographer’! Hope you’re going to show us how you get on, I’m sure you’ll find it interesting and rewarding.

Nicely done Dave, the atmosphere does add to the overall effect.

There was a smoke machine just a little later but I find adding it yourself is much more controllable, these smoke machines can be all or nothing! Thanks for commenting Dave.

Nicely done as usual. I can't come up with a theme for the picture.

Thanks Jack. He was getting a bit stroppy because the guard wouldn’t take his chains off before he went in the sauna, I think!

And I thought he was locked in a room filling with smoke and possibly fire with no way out as his chains precluded his reaching the door which may be locked anyway! Oh, the stories to tell.

I nearly put a bit of fire in there Ellen, but then opted for the sauna scenario!
