Two Solar Eclipses Coning In 2023 and 2024.

For those not familiar with it, the Photographers Ephemeris site (and app), which is rather useful in the first place, has added details about the eclipses by detailing the path etc. For this October's you can see the path it will follow and use the map to determine where you might want to be to observe and shoot it. That inset box shows what the overlap will appear like; as you move the timeline (bottom of the screen - the blue line with the dot stopped at 10:38AM) the overlap will change appropriately.

Anyway, the point is it might be worth investigating for those wishing to position themselves in more photogenic spots. I use Ephemeris to determine where I need to stand in order to capture moonrises and such with interesting subjects in the foregroung - mountains, windmills, etc...you can see some examples on my website (URL in my signature below)

Don't wait, many/most? hotels in TX for 2024 are asking outrageous prices. Best place for October is suppose to be in NM and balloon festival is same time, so hotels are already booked up.

Roswell for 2023 anular eclipse, Eagle Pass,TX for 2024 Total Solar Eclipse I saw rentals up to $14K for 4 days in the listings, I can see paying double but $14K is for those w/ stupid money
