So... A Little Fun with an Old Lens.
Canon FL 55mm f/1.2 I was reviewing posts on a Facebook group dedicated to Vintage Lenses when I came across a link to an old Canon FT camera with this lens. I made a lowball bid and to my surprise it was accepted by the seller... Well, the lens arrived today and I took it out for a spin while walking my dog. Here are some of the results, the last shot was included to show that the lens actually is quite sharp when stopped down. The first three images were shot wide open, the last was shot at f/8.
I purchased this lens because of the crazy backgrounds they are capable of creating.

And it didn't cost an arm and a leg! The best possible outcome.

Unfortunately I also have a Sigma 50mm f/1.4 Art that actually did cost an arm and a leg.... Having said that the Sigma lens is the best 50mm I have ever mounted to my cameras, it will not produce the insane backgrounds that the old film lenses do but it does have great out of focus areas and is as sharp as they come.
Looks like you got a keeper Geffory.

Very nice, I love using old manual focus lenses.
