Quite interesting story line.
Valdez is in a very beautiful setting! We visited there in 2014.

Yes but dig down about 3 feet into the ocean floor to see if the worms have recovered. It takes decades for the oil to be gone at that level allowing the worms to recover which can grow to over 3 feet long.
