Hi, everyone! I just landed here after a search, and I've been reading for a couple days and decided to join.
I live and work in a beautiful place for photography, and I'm trying to take advantage of this opportunity. I like all kinds of photos, but mostly I shoot outdoor stuff, like scenics and landscapes.

Welcome to the forum! You do live in a beautiful state. I rafted the New River, and my son spent some time in the Dolly Sods. Next time I'm down that way, maybe look you up. Look forward to seeing a bit of your WV scenes!

Welcome to the forum. I’ve been to New River NP three times in the past two years. I’m also a big fan of Coopers Rock hiking trails. WV is beautiful.

Hello and welcome aboard!! Is it safe to assume you've visited the Glade Creek grist mill? I was there in mid-April a few years ago hoping to capture an image of water cascading over the water wheel. No such luck! Dry as a bone. I've a mind Mother Nature does has a sense of humor cuz it rained all the way back to Ill. I'm thinking of going back in the fall when the autumn colors are at peak.

Welcome! I agree about natural beauty of WV. I visited often back in the 80’s to shoot fall foliage. Every bit as gorgeous as VT and NH and far less crowded. The only thing that the northeast has over WV as far as fall color is concerned is that VT & NH have better press agents. My # 1 seller was and still is a fall shot of Glades Mill in Babcock state park. It was shot on Velvia (last time I ever shot film) and people always think the colors were manipulated in PS.
