iPhone Pano....
So, it is very rare that I would choose to shoot with my phone especially if I have my camera with me.... But, yesterday I wanted an easy pano and it is a bit upsetting to me that the damn thing works so well given the investment I have in my camera and lenses.
Nice!
(I usually do panos with my phone because it's so easy, no "splicing" required in the "lab".)
These newer smart phones do an excellent job taking photos. The colors and contrast range in your picture is amazing.
Great photo.

A new tool for the arsenal!
The download is fantastic.

I have an iPhone 14 and the Panos are amazingly effortless to take. From the very first pic taken during the "Blue Hour", and similar challenging low light conditions.
Touch the shutter and start rotating from left to right. It shows a "Level Line" to help and it will even warn you if you are going too fast. It also creates very large files for you to use for PP if required.
I started out taking 180-degree shots, then 270-degree shots. I would Love to try a 360-degree shot.
I hope that I didn't "Step On" your post too much.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments, and no Jimmy you did not step on the thread. I posted this to show the quality of the iPhone images and your comments only reinforce that thought. I normally shoot with a Canon R5 which cost 3X my iPhone before the purchase of any lenses. The iPhone can't really compete against the camera in taking most images but the iPhone is capable of quality images and the software that the iPhone uses to render the images almost negates the need for post in many circumstances. I did put this into photoshop to reduce the image size from 135mb to about 3.5mb and I did reduce noise and played a bit with color tone and saturation,, I do that with most any image I take.
Taking this image was a lot easier than setting up and leveling a tripod then taking several images and later stitching them together in post, and for my use, mostly posting to social media the image is completely adequate.

I quite agree that it is amazingly easy. But can you print a 60" print?

Actually I think that you can, the iPhone 14 has a 48mb sensor, actually more pixels than my Canon R5, and the jpg file it created was 135mb prior to downsizing. But to be honest I would probably use my camera were I wanting to print a large pano. There were some issues that require close inspection to identify but that would probably be more evident in a large print.
Very nice pano. You should also post this on the smartphone photography section.
