A photography friend sent this to me he said it was his newest lens. He had no idea what the thing actually is. I thought someone on UHH might know. That is not him in the photo.

For those filter freaks, a protective filter for this lens would cost around $80,000.00.

Very misleading. I know that guy. He was the unfortunate test subject for a miniaturization program run by a secret government agency. He stands about 5 mm tall.
