Thank you Brian. These Phalenopsis are quite attractive. They remind me of a colleague and wonderful physician, Julia Petrone. She loved orchids and begged me to grow some for her based upon my growing prowess. However, I was extremely fearful that I could not grow them. I had heard of the famous Orchid Show at The New York Botanic Gardens in The Bronx. I brought my Canon EOS Rebel 2000 with a ring flash. I took six rolls of film and had all of them developed. She fell in love with every photo and told me the very bad news. She had adenocarcinoma of the Pancreas. She was a terrific lady who was an old school doctor and had old world mannerisms and procedures.
Regardless of the type of orchid, she made my wife, Kathy and I appreciate the subtleties of them. I am partial to Dendrobiums and Phalenopsis. My wife loves Cybidiums.
My wife joys in growing them.
Thank you very much

PS: I wasn’t trying to hijack your thread. My wife has far better success growing flowering plants. Thank you for the very wonderful memory I have been blessed with.
