Am always listening to the marine weather advisory for daily sea condition reports. If high tides, daylight conditions and my free time coincide favorably I pay a visit.
There are two miles of coastal trails along Quoddy's shoreline, much of which I haven't yet concentrated on yet.
While the exercise is good,....the trail is still kinda up hill both ways and I do pack a heavy camera bag.
It's not uncommon to not see another person while here in off season,..I have to plan wisely, bring snacks and water and be careful since cell phone service is extremely limited,...if even available at all.
I've pulled a photo backpack out of storage and plan to pack a bit lighter and see how that works out. I am tiring of the same locations and seek new vantage points further down the trail.
These feet and legs of mine aren't as young as my mind tries to convince me they are, so level headed decisions must prevail.
Expectations and wise follow through can be like mixing water and oil for this guy, I am not a big fan of,..."can't do that" partially due to a hard headed Italian father,...part to a "get it done attitude" acquired in boot camp at 17 years old.
So coming visits at Quoddy will be interesting as I lighten my load and venture out seeking some new locations. Am looking forward to it and hope to add some not so redundant images to my portfolio.
Will be posting here to share, enjoying the comraderie of all here at UHH,....always enjoying the whole process and interaction as time and life permits.

Stormy ocean and Quoddy's coastal cliffs
Varied shoreline presents many opportunities
Entirely different feel in this gentle surge over a partially submerged outcrop
WoW! I would can walk on the trail with you. Love your photos.
Wait, wait, I want to come along! I'll help with the heavy bag.
Good series, sharp focus, I can almost hear the waves crashing against the rocks. Good work
Marty, I think it's time for me to get back to Quoddy...see you on the Green Point Trail?
Like all of your work, these are beautiful as well.
Beautiful shots of that rugged coast.
Thank you all for your comments.
Am not into Facebook, Twitter or other groups, this is the only social networking group I have found or take part with,... that allows me to interact openly with others who share (or not) or have similar photographic interests.
I try to monitor the activity here as best I can and become familiar with others work and input as well. Whether it's images, humor, commentary, bad puns, politics or just beating a subject to death,..
it's nice to have a close community of friends to share it with and once in awhile put yourself out there.
It's kinda like an extended family of sorts,....where we pick our own relatives.
