I pulled myself away from the birds and did a few bison this weekend. I had wanted to get some landscape type photo of the bison. I do love my facial portraits, but tried to branch out a little.
Doing my own critique, I would have preferred the bison in different positions and the baby looking my way.

Very nice!! I really like #2, #4, #5 and #6. I LOVE #3!!
Looking at #1, as an additional photo I may have tried portrait to include the top of the steam.
Just a suggestion: have you considered cropping this to a little above the tree on the left in the group of trees directly across the water. Taking the majority of the steam out of the picture and the tighter crop bring more attention to the bison. As it is the viewer may wonder whether the steam or the bison are the main subject. Just something to try and see what you think.

Another beautiful set, Beth!

I see what you are saying. I may give that a try, thanks for the thoughts!
The bluebird and web sure do go with your John Muir tagline just below it. Great series!

Great work. #2 and #3 are heartwarming...beautiful. That B&W shot is really strong. I've been out to Yellowstone twice and can't wait to go back.

Fine job! Good use of the Firehole River!
