A good question, start up business.
My son is unemployed, and disabled (obsessive defiant behaviour, ADHD, and learning difficulties), I have raised three sons as a single father and carer (22, 20 amd 17) all disabled,and he wants a job, no luck so as I have been into photography for 40 years since a teenager, I thought do what I do best.
Started just this year shooting surf etc as on my site, now going into photography in a big way, paper ads, local newspaper website and more.
We are starting with the old addage "We would rather a small piece of cake than none at all", and therefore are aiming at the market where people usually would NOT have or be able to afford the luxury of a proper photographer.
We also offer to spread whatever the cost is over however many months it is to the wedding at no extra charge.
Also, it allows my son the opportunity to learn first hand, and be to introduce things like 3D and learn at the same time.

In my experience the lower end of the wedding market is where most of the problem brides come from. Theres also something called perceived value, if it's cheap people tend to think it's poor quality.
