Testing the editing process on my Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G.
I have discovered that it does more than I'd realized!
It can really bring out the stars in the pro-mode pics even more.
I attempted to edit one I'd taken at Stehekin, WA, with the dark sky. Not a superb job, but not too bad for a neophyte at post processing.
I did a bit in SnapSeed as a followup on one.
We spent two nights at Stehekin, WA in July of 22. With the dark sky I caught a few photos of the Milky Way. I attempted to edit this one, check the last photo for the before pic.

I used a flashlight to light up the trees in the foreground.

This is the camera editor edit. As I said, it does more than I'd realized!

I had the flashlight a little too low for this, it caused a shadow from the phone.

This is actually the camera editor edit for a photo taken with the flashlight correctly positioned.

This is one of my Stehekin star pics, it was actually used with SnapSeed as a double exposure to correct an error caused by my attempt to add color.

You did a pretty good job of it. Nice Milky Way shots. Keep on experimenting.

Actually our skies here at home are not that dark. We are surrounded by light pollution.
And I discovered that some of what I thought were stars, really were a result of over sharpening, when they appeared in tree trunks too!
It's a learning experience for me.
