Architect1776 Loc: In my mind

Decided that I didn't feel like working today so shut the computer down for the weekend.
All shot with R7 and Canon FL 58mm f1.2 and URTH FD-R adapter.
First, Our drive gate.
Second, front yard fence.
Third a Foxglove in the backyard.
Wanted to see how this lens performed and what quirks it might have.
Was pleasantly surprised at how nice most came out, any failures were mine as I tried balancing in some odd positions etc.

I like em & generally this type of partial in-focus type of photos.

Your first pic (Drive Gate) is a nice illustration of another feature of depth-of-field. Assuming that your focus point was "dead-on" the spindle in clearest focus, notice how the next further spindle is in better focus than the next closest spindle.

This shows that even at very large aperture, objects beyond the focal point will be in better focus than those in front of the focal point.
