Beautiful and interesting bird! I like the leafy background view the best.
Thank you, Craig, for viewing and commenting. I like that too, but in Dix Park (where IBs are easy to spot), the birds more often than not prefer to sit on treetops and sing away. And if the sky is gray, the background is washed out, but the bird is there for the 'capture'.
Thank you, Chief, JD and Cliff for your feedback. I like #2 the best too. I had more shots with that setting, but largely similar, so posted just one. As I mentioned in another comment response, the treetop perches are preferred more by the IBs in Dix Park for some reason. We need to get an ornitho-psychologist involved now.

Maybe they feel less threatened by predators in that environment, so don't feel the need to hide inside the trees? Note: I am no bird-psychologist.
Nice set, Ronnie. My annual visitors came through about a month ago. I love their beautiful coloring.
Thank you, Ken. Its amazing if you have IBs in your backyard. Here they are considered to be migratory, and only show up in select locations when present in our region!
